There are lots of haunted attractions in the Smoky Mountains for the whole family to enjoy. Here are some of the top scary things things to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Gatlinburg Attractions

Ripley’s Haunted Adventures: The story goes that Ripley’s acquired the site of the former Grimsby and Streaper Casket Company in 1999. Although locals warned them that strange and supernatural events had surrounded the factory since 1926 when its former owners disappeared under mysterious circumstances, Ripley’s bought the property and Ripley’s Haunted Adventures was the result.

Mysterious Mansion: The Mysterious Mansion is a favorite Haunted Gatlinburg Attraction. A chilling, turn-of-the-century mansion with secret passages, a dank dark dungeon and enough creepy sights and sounds to give you goosebumps that just won’t go away, the Mysterious Mansion regularly tops Gatlinburg tourist’s “Must See” lists.

Rocky Top Village Inn: The site of a gruesome double murder. In 1986 a night clerk and security guard were beaten, stabbed and shot. Employees and guests report seeing apparitions around the parking lot and by a fountain.

Pigeon Forge Attractions

Haunted Family Inn by Dixie Stampede: Said to be haunted by an old woman who was killed there one night while working the late shift. The legend says that if you visit on the day of her death, you’ll see her shadow mysteriously following you wherever you stand on the property.

Enjoy a tour guided bus ride through the winding streets of Pigeon Forge. Hear stories of the supernatural that blur the lines of reality with a unique blend of history and mystique. Some say that it is best to ride during the day when the historic homes can be viewed most clearly. Others love night rides when the feel of the supernatural is most strongly in the air!
